Where to get Oracle?

May 16th, 2006 By vipul

Hi

If someone  is not customer / vendor of Oracle Corp ( He does not have access to Metalink of Oracle) and he wants to install Oracle 9i on RHEL 3/4 for training / study purpose. How could one get all necessary patches to install 9i; from Oracle / other source ?

Any suggestions please…

Thx

    has the 9iR2 releases.
Doubt whether you’ll find 9iR1 any where, and you need a support contract to obtain patches. Generally you’ve got no need to be on a specific patchset for training/study. The only reason you’d want all the bug fixes is if you are running a production database (or wanting a working environment to closely mirror a production environment) in which case you’ll have the appropriate support contract.
